Are you a passionate and experienced early years professional ready to lead with heart and purpose? We're looking for a dynamic Nursery Manager to join our outstanding private nursery, where children flourish and staff feel truly valued.

The Nursery Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position requires strong management and leadership skills to guide staff, engage with parents, and foster the development of children in line with early childhood education principles. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare and a commitment to creating an enriching experience for young learners.

Duties

Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance and training as necessary. Develop and implement educational programmes that promote physical, emotional, and social development in children. Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians through effective communication and regular updates on their child's progress. Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and other necessary documentation. Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and conducive to learning. Coordinate activities and events that engage children and families within the community. Oversee staff scheduling and ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.

Skills

Proven management experience within a childcare setting is essential. Strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate staff. Experience working with children in a nursery environment. Excellent knowledge of EYFS and practices. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively interact with staff, parents, and children. Ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children's growth and development. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to fostering a love for learning in young children while managing a dynamic team.

What We're Looking For:

Level 3 or above in Early Years Education (or equivalent) At least 2 years experience of being a nursery manager. Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures Excellent communication, organisation, and people skills A nurturing, proactive, and positive approach to leadership
