Job Description

Are you a passionate and experienced childcare professional looking for the next step in your career? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Manager due to our existing manager's retirement from early years. This is an exciting opportunity for an established manager or experienced deputy manager.

Key Responsibilities:



Leadership

: Inspire and motivate a professional childcare team. Lead by example, ensuring high-quality childcare and education, and fostering a positive, nurturing environment.

Operational Management

: Ensure the smooth running of the nursery, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed and that the nursery remains compliant with Ofsted regulations.

Team Leadership

: Support, mentor, and empower staff to maintain high standards of care, learning, and development. Promote teamwork and create a positive working environment.

Parent Partnership

: Build strong, trusting relationships with parents, addressing any concerns and maintaining clear communication regarding their child's progress and wellbeing.

Health and Safety

: Ensure a safe and stimulating environment, adhering to health and safety regulations, safeguarding children's welfare, and conducting/overseeing risk assessments.

Safeguarding and Child protection

: As the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the nursery, promote a culture of vigilance in the setting

Qualifications and Experience:



Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare. Previous experience in a management role within a nursery or early years setting. Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage, inspire, and support a team. A passion for delivering high-quality childcare and creating a nurturing learning environment.
