Job Summary


The Nursery Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position requires strong management and leadership skills to guide staff, engage with parents, and promote early childhood education. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering their development.

Responsibilities



Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Lead and manage a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance. Develop and implement educational programmes that promote children's learning and development. Foster positive relationships with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns. Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, development milestones, and any incidents. Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for both children and staff. Conduct staff training sessions and/or ensure staff training is updated through training courses to enhance skills in childcare practices and early childhood education. Collaborate with local authorities and community organisations to promote the nursery's services.

Qualifications



Proven experience in management or leadership roles within a nursery or childcare setting. Must be Level 3 Qualified or above and have at least 2 years experience working in a nursery as a manager or Deputy Manager. Strong background in early childhood education with relevant qualifications. Experience working with children, demonstrating an understanding of their developmental needs. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to drive as required for nursery-related activities or outings is preferred. Knowledge of current childcare regulations and best practices is advantageous. A nurturing attitude towards children combined with strong organisational skills.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 14.00-14.30 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
