Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our small nursery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills to manage staff and ensure a nurturing environment for children. This role requires effective communication in English and the ability to engage with children, parents, and staff alike.

Duties

Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's development and learning. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to play and learn. Oversee staff training and development to enhance skills in early childhood education. Manage resources efficiently, including budgeting for supplies and equipment needed for the nursery. Drive initiatives to improve nursery practices and enhance the overall quality of care provided.

Requirements

Proven experience in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A background in early childhood education is highly desirable. Ability to engage positively with children aged 0-5 years old. A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory. Commitment to safeguarding children's welfare and promoting their development. At least 2 years managerial experience.
