Job Summary

The Nursery Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. The Nursery Manager will work closely with staff, parents, and children to promote a positive learning atmosphere while managing administrative tasks and compliance with regulatory standards.

Duties

Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations. Supervise and support nursery staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's development. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, development assessments, and other necessary documentation. Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery's reputation within the community. Ensure that all equipment and facilities are well-maintained and safe for children. Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss policies, updates, and training opportunities.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Proven experience in managing a nursery or similar childcare setting. Leadership abilities to inspire and motivate staff members. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Experience working with children in various age groups. Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay: From 13.50 per hour
