Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. This role requires effective communication and management abilities to ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for driving the nursery's vision while fostering a positive atmosphere for both staff and children.

Duties

Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care and education. Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's learning and development. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and parents. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Oversee daily operations, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and adapt programmes as necessary to meet individual needs. Organise training sessions for staff to enhance their skills in childcare practices.

Experience

Proven experience in a leadership role within a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Experience working with children in various age groups is highly desirable. A background in childcare or early childhood education qualifications will be an advantage. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
