Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a commitment to providing high-quality childcare. This role requires effective communication with staff, parents, and children, ensuring a nurturing environment that supports early childhood education. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for managing staff, developing educational programmes, and maintaining a safe and engaging atmosphere for children.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the nursery team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's learning and development. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of health and safety within the nursery. Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's reputation within the community. Manage daily operations, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation. Support staff in their professional development through training and mentoring opportunities. Create a welcoming atmosphere for children and families, ensuring their needs are met.

Experience

Proven experience in a leadership role within a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Strong background in early childhood education with an understanding of child development principles. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff. Experience working directly with children in various age groups is highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
