Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our community forest school ethos nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role requires excellent leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively in English, and a drive to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children.

Duties

Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's development and learning. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their children's progress and addressing any concerns. Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, development milestones, and any incidents that occur within the nursery. Organise staff training sessions to enhance skills in early childhood education and childcare practices. Ensure that the nursery is a safe, clean, and welcoming space for children, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

Proven experience in managing or supervising within a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or related field is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their developmental needs. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail. Experience working with children of various ages is an advantage.

We have 3 nurseries, so you will receive lots of mentoring and support from the other nursery managers and director, such as weekly zoom team calls.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 34,864.00-36,823.00 per year
