About the Role
We're looking for an inspiring
Nursery Manager
to lead our friendly Wandsworth team and uphold our commitment to exceptional early years care. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is not only confident in managing people and practice, but also deeply passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing every single day.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the nursery runs smoothly, staff feel supported, and families feel welcomed and valued.
Main Responsibilities
Lead the nursery with warmth, enthusiasm, and professionalism, ensuring a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children aged 10 months to 5 years.
Support, guide, and inspire your team to deliver high-quality care and an engaging EYFS curriculum.
Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and carers, encouraging their involvement in their child's development.
Ensure the nursery consistently meets Ofsted and safeguarding standards.
Manage staff rotas, supervision, and performance reviews to maintain a motivated, confident team.
Oversee admissions, occupancy, and records to support smooth day-to-day operations.
Work in partnership with senior management to review and improve nursery practice.
Represent Alexander House Nursery at open days, events, and community activities.
We're Looking For
A qualified Early Years professional (minimum Level 3; Level 5+ desirable).
Experience in a nursery management role.
A strong understanding of the EYFS, Ofsted standards, and safeguarding responsibilities.
A confident, approachable leader who values teamwork and communication.
Someone organised, compassionate, and committed to giving children the very best start.
Working Hours
Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, 7.30pm - 6 pm
40 Hours per week over 4 days.
