Responsibilities:
Implement the smooth running of the nursery setting whilst ensuring standards are maintained
Lead all staff making them aware of the importance of their role and responsibilities whilst adhering to legislation requirements.
Lead and motivate the staff to deliver quality childcare and learning opportunities.
To be a good role model to the staff, lead by example and produce an excellent team working environment.
Monitor rooms to ensure best practise is being followed and introduce methods to enhance opportunities for children's learning & development.
Complete & monitor risk assessments & health & safety checks
Arrange and hold staff meetings regularly
Welcome new parents/Carers into the setting at initial communication, during showarounds, and offer care and compassion during settling in sessions.
Liaise with outside professionals.
Assist with room cover when necessary
Plan and host events for children, parents & staff
You will be a responsible key holder and trained fire warden.
You will also be safeguarding lead and ALNCO for the setting
Full training will be provided and support offered via our Area Manager
NVQ Level 4 or above in Childcare is preferred, however a minimum of Level 3 is required for this role.
