As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational, educational, and compliance standards of the nursery. You will lead a dedicated team of practitioners, ensure adherence to all statutory frameworks, and maintain strong partnerships with families and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring full compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, safeguarding, and health and safety regulations
Manage, mentor, and develop the staff team through supervision, training, and performance reviews
Oversee the planning and delivery of a rich, engaging curriculum aligned with the EYFS framework
Handle nursery administration, including rotas, budgets, occupancy levels, and reporting
Promote strong relationships with parents and carers, maintaining clear and consistent communication
Drive local marketing and community engagement initiatives to support occupancy growth
Ensure that all children's individual development needs are met through high-quality observation, planning, and assessment
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (Level 5 or above preferred)
Significant leadership experience in a nursery or early years setting
Excellent understanding of the EYFS, Ofsted standards, and safeguarding procedures
Proven ability to manage teams effectively and deliver high-quality childcare provision
Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills
A child-centred approach with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
