Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our childcare setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of early childhood education. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and fostering positive relationships with staff and parents. The Nursery Manager will drive the vision of the nursery while maintaining high standards of care and education.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in childcare. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of childcare professionals, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment. Develop and implement early childhood education programmes that stimulate children's development and learning. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors. Manage resources efficiently, including budgeting for supplies and materials necessary for the nursery's operation. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on child development. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all aspects of the nursery. Ensure compliance with healthy and safety regulations as well as educational standards. Lead with integrity, resilience and a proactive attitude to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Experience

Minimum of Level 3 qualification in Childcare. Proven experience in a senior role within a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Ability to motivate and inspire a team. Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills. Passionate about delivering outstanding early years education and care. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise responsibilities.
