As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational success of the setting--ensuring high standards of education, care, compliance, and staff performance. You'll work closely with your team to create a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child can flourish.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day management of the nursery, including staffing, administration, and curriculum planning
Deliver a high-quality early years education in line with the EYFS framework
Maintain a safe and secure environment, ensuring full compliance with safeguarding and health and safety requirements
Lead and manage the staff team, providing coaching, supervision, and professional development
Develop and implement a broad, child-centred curriculum tailored to individual needs
Monitor occupancy levels, manage budgets, and ensure effective resource planning
Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community
Ensure readiness for Ofsted inspections and internal audits, maintaining high standards across the setting
About You
Essential Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (Level 5 preferred)
Previous experience in a nursery leadership role (Deputy Manager or Nursery Manager)
Sound knowledge of the EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding protocols
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
A proactive, child-centred approach with a commitment to delivering excellent outcomes
