You will be responsible for the overall operational and educational performance of the setting, ensuring high standards of care, learning, compliance, and staff development. Working closely with your team, you will foster a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, including staffing, administration and planning
Deliver a high-quality curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Maintain a safe, secure environment with full compliance in safeguarding and health and safety
Lead and support the staff team through coaching, supervision, and development
Develop and implement a broad, child-centred curriculum tailored to individual needs
Monitor and manage occupancy, budgets, and resource planning
Build strong, effective relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community
Ensure readiness for Ofsted inspections and maintain high standards through internal audits
About You
We are looking for a motivated and professional nursery leader who is committed to delivering excellent outcomes for children, families, and staff.
Essential Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (Level 5 preferred)
Previous experience in a leadership role within a nursery (Deputy or Nursery Manager)
Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding procedures, and Ofsted requirements
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
A proactive, child-centred approach with a commitment to continuous improvement
