We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, coupled with excellent management and leadership skills. As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a high standard of care and education is provided to all children.
Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a positive working environment that encourages professional development.
Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's learning and development.
Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery standards.
Oversee the administration of nursery records, including attendance, incident reports, and staff performance evaluations.
Coordinate staff schedules and manage resources effectively to meet the needs of the nursery.
Skills
Proven management and leadership skills in a childcare setting.
Experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education environment.
Strong understanding of childcare practices, early childhood education principles, and child development.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with staff, parents, and children.
Ability to drive may be required for transporting children or attending off-site activities.
