Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a deep understanding of early childhood education. This role is essential in creating a nurturing and safe environment for children while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Duties



Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring a high standard of care and education for all children. Lead and supervise nursery staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote children's learning and development. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery standards. Maintain accurate records related to children's progress, attendance, and staff performance. Manage budgets and resources efficiently to ensure the smooth running of the nursery. Organise activities that encourage social interaction and physical development among children.

Requirements



Proven experience in management or leadership roles within a childcare setting. Strong background in early childhood education with relevant qualifications. Experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Ability to drive is preferred for transportation purposes related to nursery activities. A genuine passion for childcare and commitment to providing high-quality education. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. Knowledge of current legislation regarding childcare practices is advantageous. Qualification in Leadership for Children and Young People's services or working towards Current Paediatric First Aid Designated Safeguarding Lead training Experience liaising with Ofsted and managing inspections A valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation purposes related to nursery activities.
