Main Duties will include:



Coach, mentor and led nursery staff to delivering high-quality educational programmes tailored to children's individual needs. Responding to safeguarding issues in a prompt and efficient way, ensuring all matters are resolved in a timely manner. Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote the welfare and development of children. Maintain an engaging and safe environment for children, ensuring all health and safety standards are met. Manage budgets effectively, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately to meet the needs of the nursery. Liaise with parents and guardians to build strong relationships and encourage their involvement in nursery activities. Organise staff training and professional development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge. Ensure compliance with local regulations and guidelines related to early years education.

Experience



Previous experience in a managerial role within an early years setting is essential - minimum 2 years required. A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is required at L3 or above. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on building relationships. Knowledge of child safeguarding practices and regulatory requirements within the nursery sector. Ability to demonstrate organisational skills and manage multiple tasks effectively. Previous experience of setting DSL (desirable).
