Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a passion for early childhood education. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing environment for children while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of care.

Duties

Manage the overall operations of the nursery, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation. Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Develop and implement educational programmes that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as safeguarding policies. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and incidents in accordance with regulatory requirements. Organise activities that stimulate children's learning through play and exploration. Conduct regular assessments of staff performance and provide ongoing training opportunities to enhance their skills.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a management role within a nursery or childcare setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Background in early childhood education or related field is essential. Experience working with children in a childcare environment is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to drive is preferred for transporting children when necessary. A thorough understanding of child development principles and best practices in childcare. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
