Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will have at a minimum of Level 3 qualification, at least one year's deputy managerial experience a strong background in early childhood education and possess exceptional leadership skills. As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and managing a team of childcare professionals. Your role will be pivotal in fostering the development of children while maintaining high standards of care and education.
Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
Lead, motivate, and support staff to deliver high-quality childcare and education.
Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their children's progress and addressing any concerns.
Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's learning and development.
Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to thrive in.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional development of nursery staff.
Collaborate with external agencies as necessary to support children's needs.
Ensure effective record keeping for children's development and attendance.
To oversee all safeguarding practices and procedures for the setting
Skills
Proven experience in managing a nursery or similar childcare setting.
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, Ofsted Inspection framework and experienced knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care provided.
Experience working directly with children in a childcare or educational context.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities to inspire and guide a team.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
Ability to fulfil role of Designated Safeguarding Lead
