Wokingham, Berkshire, RG41.

An exciting opportunity to join our new nursery opening in September!We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery.

This role requires excellent leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage a team while fostering a nurturing environment for children. We provide a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where children thrive through play, discovery, and care. This role will include you leading the nursery team and oversee the day-to-day running of the setting in line with the EYFS framework, safeguarding regulations, and Ofsted requirements. You will ensure a nurturing environment for children, strong relationships with families, and professional leadership of staff.

Salary

: 39,000 - 42,000 per annum (Depending on Experience/Qualifications)

Hours/Days:

Monday-Friday - 7am - 6pm All Year Round / Permanent

Nursery Manager Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the nursery Ensure compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, health & safety, and safeguarding policies Lead, support, and motivate staff, including rotas, appraisals, and training Maintain high standards of learning, care, and hygiene Manage enrolments, child records, and communication with families Implement planning, observations, and child development tracking Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or support the DSL Handle inspections, audits, and liaise with external professionals

About You

The ideal candidate will:

Have previous Nursery Manager Experience

Minimum Level 3 in Childcare

Strong leadership skills with experience in team management A passion for early childhood education and development Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with parents, staff, and the wider community Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety standard Be eligible to work in the UK
