Duties:
- Develop, supervise and mentor room staff, share ideas and motivate them
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Plan and supervise indoor and outdoor playtime
- Monitor and assess children's progress and communicate with parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
- Follow all licensing regulations and maintain required documentation in line with the
Early Years Foundation Stage
Experience:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and flexibility in working with young children
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual children
- Familiarity with curriculum frameworks and educational standards
- A good level of written and communication skills
