About Mansfield Care

Mansfield Care Group is an established and highly regarded Scottish care home provider who look after 12 care homes located in Edinburgh, Loanhead, Haddington, the Scottish Borders, Kilmarnock and Troon. We were established in 2005 and specialise in care homes offering care of exceptional quality which is geared to residents' needs and wishes

We are now recruiting a nursing home manager at Eildon House, our small, Fridley care home located in the North of Edinburgh, close to Royal Botanic gardens.

Eildon House has strong community links and many of the residents and staff are local to the area. The service is a smart traditional stone terrace building overlooking private playing fields, with lots of cyclists and walkers passing by. The first-floor lounge has inspiring views of the Edinburgh skyline and castle. The home has space for up to 22 residents.

Elidon House boasts a fantastic reputation within in the local community, local service and the Care Inspectorate, achieving a Very Good after the lates CI inspection.

We are currently looking for a caring, organised and experienced Registered Manager for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Managing and developing high quality services for all our residents Developing and guiding the team of care and nursing staff. Encourage a culture of care and continuous improvement across the service Actively working with and alongside all staff, residents and their families, to help shape and develop a centre of excellence for person-centred care. The promotion of high standards of nursing care, following CI and NMC guidelines by ensuring the service managed appropriately and the nursing home runs in a smooth and efficient manner.

Skills and Experience:



Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised Dependable and honest Able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the nursing home. Demonstrate a track record in leading, motivating, managing and developing staff. A clear understanding of leadership responsibilities in social care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Essential Skills:



Proven management experience within the sector RGN/RMN qualified with active NMC Pin (Desirable) Experience of leadership and mentoring staff An enhanced PVG certificate is required for this role
