We're working with London Borough of Bromley to find a skilled

Occupational Therapist

to join their vibrant and inclusive Reablement Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in community-based care and wants to make a real difference in people's day-to-day independence.

About the role:



In this role, you'll complete holistic assessments for adults with long-term or complex needs, and work with service users, families, and professionals to deliver effective care and equipment plans. You'll also supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and contribute to service planning, development, and review.

About the role:



As a Reablement OT, you'll conduct assessments in service users' homes, recommend interventions and equipment, and work closely with Reablement Senior Support Workers to create personalised, goal-driven care plans. You'll help individuals regain and maintain their independence through safe, practical, and empowering support.

This role offers

flexible hybrid working

, with a mix of home-based admin and face-to-face client visits (2 days in-office / 3 days from home).

Key Responsibilities:



Complete occupational therapy assessments and reablement plans in service users' homes Collaborate with senior support workers to define realistic, person-centred goals Provide appropriate standard and specialist equipment, including seating Carry out manual handling assessments and recommend suitable interventions Assist in triaging reablement referrals and contribute to case planning Record case notes and outcomes clearly using the council's systems Supervise and support junior staff when required

What you'll need:



Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy HCPC registration Experience in community-based assessments and reablement interventions Strong understanding of functional ability, equipment, and goal planning Ability to travel locally for client visits (mileage and Oyster card provided) Clear, confident communication and a commitment to enabling independence
