Office Administrative Assistant - Head Office (Full-time, Fixed Term)

Mellis Cheese is an Edinburgh-based artisan business renowned for its premium cheeses, charcuterie, sundries, and alcohol. With five retail shops across Scotland, a robust restaurant supply chain, and monthly exports to Europe, we are dedicated to supporting local and international farmers and artisans.

We are looking for a Full-Time Office Administrative Assistant to join us at our Head Office in Leith, Edinburgh, as we look toward our busy Festive Period. This position is offered on a Fixed-Term basis running from now until mid January 2026. We are looking for a strong multitasker to lead customer service calls and manage our enquiries inbox, assist with checking customer order details, help issue gift cards, refunds and more (all training will be provided). This position would suit someone who enjoys variety in their day and working autonomously as part of a small supportive team. Required days would be Monday-Friday (9-5:30pm).

As our Office Administrative Assistant your responsibilities will include:



Handling customer calls and escalating where appropriate Creating, editing and updating spreadsheets Light accounting duties - preparing documents such as invoices/refunds Printing, photocopying, miscellaneous tasks as requested Responsible for customer service inbox Assisting with Cheeseclub (our subscription service) Creating and issuing physical and online gift cards

Experience working in a fast-paced office environment Computer literate An availability to work over the Christmas period - we expect commitment and availability from all staff Self-motivated and organised Previous experience and passion for F&B industry
