What You'll Be Doing
You'll be a central support to several teams, handling day-to-day tasks that keep everything ticking along--from tracking equipment and organising workwear to liaising with suppliers and supporting facilities and fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities/Procurement/Office Support
Logging quotes prepared by the estimating team
Managing stationery orders and stock levels
Coordinating branded workwear and PPE for the team
Ordering tools, consumables, fuel and vehicle supplies - raising purchase orders & logging on internal tracking system
Answering phone calls and directing queries to the right people
Facilities/Vehicles
Ensuring all vehicles have valid MOT's, Tax, Services, Tachographs & 12 weekly inspections, where applicable.
Reporting breakdowns & damages of vehicles to suppliers and liaising with them regarding lead times/costs/outcome of such repairs and ordering parts to fix internally as/when required. Ensuring at all times all updates are logged accordingly.
Other ad hoc vehicle tasks, such as ensuring all vehicles are tracked, Private Van Use agreements are in place, valets are arranged as/when required and driving license expiries are checked and monitored.
Internal Hire
Recording internal plant locations of Lester Cladding owned MEWPs via internal tracker and uploading onto our digital H&S software, Inndex.
Reconciling internal tracker with online tracker, to ensure plant locations of Lester Cladding owned MEWPs, are accurately reported internally.
Reporting breakdowns of Lester Cladding owned MEWPs to external suppliers. Raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers in regard to lead times/costs/outcome of repairs. Ensuring all job sheets of repairs are obtained.
As above with plant/vehicle punctures.
Procurement of Hired Goods
Reviewing external rates with suppliers for hire of machines (MEWPs), bi-annually, to ensure supplier rates are competitive and supplier relationships are maintained.
Organising external machines (MEWPs) to be hired, for our construction sites, including raising purchase orders and ensuring best lead times/prices are obtained in all cases.
Liaising/reporting breakdowns to external suppliers.
Arranging skip hire and exchanges with external suppliers, including raising/tracking purchase orders.
Arranging container hire deliveries & collections with external suppliers, including raising/tracking purchase orders.

You can manage multiple tasks, stay on top of deadlines, and keep things running smoothly.

Basic IT skills
You're comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and willing to learn other software as needed.

You enjoy supporting others and are happy to take on a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.

GCSE Maths at Grade C / 4 or above (or equivalent)
A solid foundation in numeracy is important for tracking costs, stock, and orders.
