Office Administrator / Warehouse Assistant



Pipeline Plus is a specialist distributor of plastic pipes and fittings used in utilities, construction, chemical, fire and other pipework systems including Water mains, Gas mains, Fire Hydrant/Sprinkler mains and others.

This new position for a combined Office Administrator and Warehouse Assistant will require the successful applicant to have the ability to switch between office and warehouse tasks on a daily basis to satisfy the Business's day to day demands. You must be an effective all-rounder, and have the skills and aptitude to adapt to changing and challenging situations.

Office Tasks



Updating and managing warehouse stock control database Recording received and dispatched goods Handling daily correspondence, including emails and phone calls with customers, suppliers and company departments Processing customer sales orders Processing supplier purchase orders Customer communication, point of contact for customers enquiring about orders, stock, deliveries General offices duties

Warehouse Tasks



Off-loading, receiving, and inspecting deliveries for accuracy and quality Storing stock into correct warehouse storage bays/racks Physically counting and investigating stock discrepancies Order fulfilment including timely picking, packing and loading of customer orders for dispatch Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organized Observing, following, and conforming to Health and Safety policies and procedures Operating Forklift trucks and other lifting equipment Driving 3.5t drop side or other vehicle's to make customer deliveries and collect goods from suppliers

Required Skills and Qualifications



Ability to adapt to changing operational requirements as and when required Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise your workload effectively Proficiency in IT, including MS Office and stock control systems essential Excellent interpersonal skills Strong verbal & written communication skills to interact with staff, other departments, customers and suppliers are essential Passionate customer service skills Problem solving skills and the ability to come up with creative solutions to issues Able to work within a team, take direction from others and collaborate effectively Ability to keep accurate records, count accurately, and perform math calculations is crucial Have good physical ability as you will be required to lift, move goods, and work in a physically demanding environment Hold a full clean UK driving licence Hold a valid Fork Lift Truck driving licence
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.37 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
