Job Description

We are a small company that supplies catering equipment and specializes in the design and build of hospitality spaces for leading UK restaurants, stadia, and contract catering companies. We are seeking a dedicated and organized Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support, ensuring the efficient operation of our office and warehouse. While each employee has specific roles, we encourage collaboration, and team members often assist each other to ensure the company operates in the most efficient way possible. Key Responsibilities:



Accept Deliveries:

Receive and process incoming deliveries, ensuring accurate inventory records and proper storage within the warehouse.

Courier Coordination:

Prepare and organize items for couriers to collect, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of outgoing shipments.

Logistics Management:

Book collections and deliveries with our logistics partners to ensure efficient movement of goods.

Warehouse Stock Management:

Conduct regular stock checks in the warehouse to maintain accurate inventory levels.

Logistical Support:

Move items within the warehouse using a pallet truck, ensuring safe and efficient handling of stock.

Clerical Duties:

Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and data entry, to support office operations.

Customer and Subcontractor Coordination:

Call customer sites to schedule engineers for service and maintenance visits. Communicate with subcontractors to arrange the installation of catering equipment and manage delivery schedules.

Customer Portal Management:

Use a customer portal to accept and sign off completed works, ensuring documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Computer Literacy:

Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and email, to perform daily tasks efficiently. Strong computer skills are necessary for the successful execution of responsibilities.

Communication:

Maintain effective communication with team members, suppliers, customers, and couriers to ensure smooth logistical operations.

Qualifications:



Proven experience in an administrative, logistics, or customer service role is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential. Experience in using pallet trucks and handling warehouse inventory is desirable. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with customer portals is a plus. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks. Must have a "can-do" attitude.

Physical Requirements:



Must be physically fit to lift and move items within the warehouse. Capability to operate pallet trucks safely and efficiently.

Working Conditions:



Office-based position at Walton Summit. Occasional work in the warehouse. Regular interaction with internal staff, customers, suppliers, and external courier services.

Salary and Benefits:



Starting salary of 25,000 to 30,000, depending on experience. Full training provided. Competitive salary and benefits package. Pension scheme. 20 days of paid holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days after 12 months of employment. 42.5-hour workweek, working Monday to Friday.
