Our successful team of 18 staff is continuing to grow, and we are looking for a friendly and organised Office Assistant to support the smooth running of our office and engineering team. This entry-level role focuses on basic administrative tasks, document preparation, and client communication by phone and email. You will help keep the office running efficiently and support colleagues with day-to-day activities.
Duties
Client communication
Manage incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
Organise and schedule appointments, meetings, and events
Take card payments on the phone and process transactions accurately
Record and track referrals via our internal systems
Office & Administrative Support
Prepare and maintain physical job packs for the engineering team
Assist with office duties such as document preparation
Perform accurate data entry and maintain office records
Provide general administrative support to the wider office team
Assist in maintaining office supplies and inventory
Prepare documents and correspondence
Maintain accurate records and databases for easy retrieval of information
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow within the office
Skills & Attributes
Essential
- Friendly and professional team player who actively supports colleagues and helps maintain a positive office environment.
Previous office experience is highly desirable
Good communication skills, especially over the phone
Organised and attentive to detail
Comfortable using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
