We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, supervising staff, and ensuring that office procedures run smoothly. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of human resources, and proficiency in office management software.

Established in 2002, Devon and Cornwall DC Power Ltd supplies power systems support to the telecommunications industry in the UK and Europe. We provide electrical consultation to telecommunications and IT companies who value the resiliency of their electrical power. Having many years' experience in this field, we provide consultation followed by the design and installation of integrated systems, often comprising standby generators, UPS, DC power systems and batteries. We then provide planned and reactive (call-out) maintenance support for those systems.
Duties
Supervise and support office staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Manage HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
Oversee administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, maintaining office supplies, and managing correspondence.
Ensure effective phone etiquette is maintained when dealing with clients and suppliers.
Working with others to create and review company procedures
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment on goals and tasks.
Training new staff members
Finding new ways to reduce expenses
Schedule project work accounting for all relevant factors including materials lead times, resource availability and skills, customer deadlines and restrictions
Extensive interaction with and reporting via both mobile and computer based systems (Primarily Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365)
Working with the compliance team to assist with internal auditing for ISO's AT customer sites and in office.

Familiarity with administrative duties and office management principles.

Desirable:
Previous experience working in telecoms, electrical contracting or similar role
Familiar with Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets), Microsoft Windows and Office 365 (Word, Excel, Visio and Project)
Full driving licence
