About ThePetFoodPeople
We're a growing UK pet food manufacturer producing premium products for brands and distributors across the UK and overseas.
Everything happens under one roof: we make it, pack it, and ship it ourselves.
It's fast-paced, friendly, and down to earth.
We're looking for someone reliable, organised, and tech-savvy to help keep our small office and daily operations running smoothly.
This role would suit someone local who enjoys getting things done, is confident with technology, and wants a part-time position that actually matters.
The Role
You'll be the calm, capable person who helps keep everything running behind the scenes, from managing emails and supplier orders to keeping the paperwork and systems organised, helping things flow smoothly between the office and the factory.
If you like variety, order, and solving little problems before they become big ones, you'll fit right in here.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the shared inbox: reply to simple customer enquiries, flag the rest.
Raise purchase orders and chase suppliers for updates.
Arrange couriers and transport bookings.
Keep records tidy, invoices, delivery notes, supplier documents.
Handle light finance admin (upload receipts, match invoices, etc.).
Book travel, meetings, and manage the founder's diary.
Keep systems updated and track small details others might miss.
Support on-site operations with basic admin and communication.
You'll Fit In If You
Are organised, efficient, and calm under pressure.
Are
very tech-savvy
- you can pick up new systems fast (Google Drive, Shopify, Xero, etc.) or use help guides to figure them out.
Don't need micro-managing, you take initiative and just get on with things.
Communicate clearly and politely, both in person and by email.
Take pride in doing things properly and on time.
Like working with someone direct, fast-paced, and focused (that's our founder).
Want part-time hours that still feel meaningful and impactful.
Bonus Points If You
Have experience in admin, customer service, or small business support.
Enjoy improving systems and creating structure.
