We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and expanding
children's residential care
provider with a strong focus on
therapeutic, trauma-informed support for children and young people
with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), learning disabilities (LD), and complex mental health needs.
This is one of
two new homes
being developed by the organisation as part of their strategic growth. The home in
Harlow, Essex
is a
mixed-gender setting
,
dually registered for EBD and LD
, and is currently pending Ofsted registration. Initially registered for
3 children
, with the potential to expand to a
6-bed home
.

Ofsted Registered Manager
to lead the registration process and the operational setup of the home.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the home through Ofsted registration and into operation
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements
Build and lead a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
Promote therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches to support
Maintain strong oversight of care planning, health & safety, and staff development
Foster a homely, inclusive and supportive environment for the young people
What We're Looking For:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children's Residential Care)
Prior experience in a senior role within a children's residential setting
Strong knowledge of Ofsted, Children's Homes Regulations (2015), and safeguarding practices
Confident leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Flexible and committed to being part of an on-call rota
Desirable:
Full UK manual driving licence
Experience setting up or registering new homes
