Fixed Term Contract - 10 Month, maternity cover



Part-time - 30 hours per week, flexible on shifts Monday to Friday



FTE Salary - 26,000 to 28,000





You will be joining the Talent Acquisition team to play an important role in delivering a seamless and engaging onboarding experience for new hires from the point of issuing a contract of employment to the day new hires walk in the door. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing all aspects of the onboarding process, ensuring new employees feel welcomed, informed, and prepared to succeed in their roles. By collaborating with Talent Acquisition Partners, HR, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams, the Onboarding Coordinator helps foster a positive first impression and supports employee retention and engagement from day one.

What you'll be responsible for:





Working with the Talent Acquisition team to provide an excellent candidate experience from offer stage through to the day the new hire joins SBG. Owning all onboarding administration - issuing contracts of employment, new joiner paperwork, setting up on HR system, reference requests, right to work in the UK checks. Ensuring we remain compliant by having all completed paperwork before a new hire joins SBG. Occasional support for Recruiters by carrying out telephone screening calls with candidates to assess suitability and ensure we give a great first impression to candidates. Managing the reference process in a digital environment, ensure references are completed / chased for completion. Welcoming new hires on their first day in all SBG office location, in person or via teams. Supporting completion of new hire surveys after 1 month of being at SBG. Liaising with hiring managers, candidates and 3rd parties to arrange interviews, assessment days and booking meeting rooms accordingly. Identifying areas for improvement within the SBG onboarding process, ensuring an excellent candidate experience. Assisting the Talent Acquisition Partner on continuous improvement recruitment projects as requested.


What you'll need:





Prior recruitment, HR or general Administration experience Excellent communication skills, confident talking to candidates on the phone and building lasting relationships with stakeholders. Experience inputting information accurately into systems - you will be using our HR System (Cascade) and Recruitment system (Pinpoint) Demonstrable experience of working collaboratively within a team environment and being a supportive team member Outstanding organisation skills, able to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks
