Job Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised

Operations Manager

to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of three interlinked entities: a thriving

sports coaching business

, a competitive

football club

, and an expanding

independent football coaching company

. This is a pivotal leadership role that requires a passion for youth development through sport, operational excellence, and strategic thinking.

You will ensure smooth delivery of programmes across multiple sites, manage resources and staff, maintain compliance and safeguarding standards, and help drive the growth of each organisation through efficient operations and positive stakeholder relationships.

People Management



Line manage site coordinators, programme leads. Support staff recruitment, onboarding, CPD, and performance reviews. Develop and maintain a positive team culture that reflects the values of each brand.

Programme & Club Coordination



Ensure smooth scheduling, planning, and delivery of: School holiday courses Weekly development centres 1-to-1 coaching programmes Grassroots and elite football club fixtures and training Coordinate facility bookings, matchday operations, transport, and equipment logistics.

Customer & Stakeholder Management



Act as a key point of contact for parents, schools, grassroots clubs, and local partners. Resolve operational issues efficiently and professionally. Oversee customer communication systems (e.g. email platforms, booking systems, support queries).

Compliance, Finance & Administration



Ensure all programmes meet safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted requirements where applicable. Support budgeting & invoicing. Maintain registers, risk assessments, insurance, and staff qualifications database.

Marketing & Growth Support



Work with marketing staff to align operational capacity with promotional campaigns. Provide insights to support programme expansion, retention strategies, and lead generation efforts. Ensure all brochures and flyers are up to date and coordinating updates when needed

Essential Skills & Experience



Proven experience in an operations or general management role, ideally within sport, education or youth services. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both staff and customers. Knowledge of safeguarding and compliance within a youth sports setting. Ability to use booking software, spreadsheets, and operational tools confidently.

Desirable


Experience working within grassroots or academy football environments.

Background in coaching or sport development. Understanding of Ofsted regulations and wraparound childcare models. First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications.

Pay: 26,500.00-28,000.00 per year
