Here at Practice Plus, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an

Operations Manager

to join our fantastic team at

The Junction Health Centre

on a

permanent, full-time basis (37.5 hours per week).





We are seeking a

forward-thinking, proactive, and dynamic leader

who can build on recent achievements and play a key role within the management team. You will be passionate about patient care, team development, and service excellence, and motivated to collaboratively lead the administrative and operational aspects of the practice.


As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the line management of the

Administration/Reception team

and act as a vital link between the wider primary healthcare team. You will take the lead on health and safety



You will deal

efficiently and courteously

with patients and relatives enquiries in a prompt fashion. The Operations Manager will support the Service Manager in the day to day running of the practice, and to support the clinical team as appropriate.


Key Responsibilities




Lead, motivate, and mentor the non-clinical team to deliver an outstanding patient experience. Carry out regular

1-to-1s

,

performance reviews

, and manage team development plans. Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members to promote a culture of continuous improvement. Manage and resolve

patient complaints

professionally and efficiently, in line with organisational policy. Oversee the day-to-day running of administrative operations and ensure compliance with Practice Plus policies and procedures. Act as a point of escalation for complex issues within the admin and reception teams.

Support the Service Manager and clinical staff in service planning, delivery, and improvement initiatives

What you'll be doing




Who We're Looking For





The ideal candidate will bring:


Proven experience in people management

, including direct line management responsibilities. A successful track record of

leading and mentoring teams

, ideally within a healthcare or General Practice setting. Demonstrable experience in conducting

1-to-1 meetings

,

performance reviews

, and addressing team performance concerns constructively. Strong

complaints management

experience, with the ability to communicate sensitively and resolve issues effectively. A sound understanding of governance, quality assurance, and operational procedures within healthcare environments. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills. The ability to manage pressure, work independently, and prioritise competing demands.
