Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated
Operations Manager
to lead and manage multiple children's homes across the South West. This role is ideal for a strategic, experienced professional who can support Registered Managers and ensure all homes operate in full compliance with Ofsted and national care standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, supervision, and development support to Registered Managers and residential teams.
Ensure full compliance with
Children's Homes Regulations
,
Ofsted standards
, and
safeguarding legislation

Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and service performance to ensure operational excellence.
Implement effective policies, procedures, and improvement plans.
Lead recruitment, retention, and staff training initiatives.
Collaborate with local authorities, safeguarding boards, and external stakeholders.
Foster a culture of safeguarding, child-centred care, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Experience:
Minimum
3 years' senior leadership
experience in children's residential care (required)
Demonstrated success in managing
Ofsted inspections
and service improvement plans
Qualifications:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People)
or equivalent (required)
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of
safeguarding
,
Ofsted frameworks
, and
residential childcare best practices
Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Ability to manage and oversee multiple services
Other Requirements:
Full UK Driving Licence (required)
Willingness to travel across the South West region
