We are launching a local Driving Miss Daisy franchise, a trusted community service providing companionship and assisted transportation to the elderly, disabled, and vulnerable individuals. Our mission is to help clients maintain independence and stay connected to their communities. We are preparing to begin full operations in and are looking for a committed Operations Manager to help us set up and run the service efficiently.
The Role
As our Operations Manager, you will play a key role in setting up operational processes and leading day-to-day service delivery once fully operational. You will initially support the pre-launch setup -- including driver recruitment, service processes, and community engagement -- and later oversee the smooth delivery of our transportation and companionship services.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Launch (First 3 Months):
Work with the Franchise Owner to design local service delivery processes in line with Driving Miss Daisy standards
Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of drivers and companions
Assist in setting up scheduling, booking, and customer management system
Build relationships with community organizations, care providers, and local stakeholders
Participate in readiness planning and franchise compliance checks.
Post-Launch (Live Operations):
Oversee daily service operations, ensuring client satisfaction and service excellence
Manage staff schedules, bookings, and route planning
Ensure all vehicles and staff comply with legal, safety, and franchise standards
Handle customer service queries and incident reporting
Monitor service quality, customer feedback, and operational performance
Work with the Franchise Owner to scale and grow the service as needed.
Who We're Looking For
Proven experience in operations management, ideally in transport, care, health, or community services
Excellent organizational and people management skills
Strong customer service orientation with empathy for vulnerable individuals
Ability to manage logistics, schedules, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with local community networks is a plus
Confident communicator with a hands-on, proactive approach.
Nice to Have
Experience working in a franchise or regulated service environment
Understanding of safeguarding, disability awareness, or elderly care best practices.
