Salary:

50,000 - 65,000 per year (inclusive of bonus)

Operations Manager

to lead and oversee multiple children's residential homes. If you have a proven track record in managing high-performing care services and thrive in a values-driven environment, we want to hear from you.

Role Summary


As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring outstanding levels of care, compliance, and operational effectiveness across our children's homes. You will support and lead Registered Managers, ensuring services deliver safe, child-focused care in line with national regulations and best practice.

Key Responsibilities



Ensure services meet all statutory requirements, including Ofsted standards and Children's Homes Regulations 2015. Provide strong leadership, coaching, and support to Registered Managers. Promote and embed effective safeguarding policies and practices across all services. Oversee quality assurance processes, audits, and continuous improvement plans. Support homes through Ofsted inspections and ensure consistent Good or Outstanding ratings. Manage resources, staffing, and budgets to maintain efficiency and sustainability. Work collaboratively with local authorities, social workers, and other external partners. Drive staff development, training, and performance to build skilled, motivated teams.

Person Specification


Essential:



Minimum 3 years' senior leadership experience in children's residential care. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards it. In-depth understanding of Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and safeguarding requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic management skills. Full UK Driving Licence and ability to travel across the Midlands.
