Job Description

Responsible to: Managing Director



Purpose:



The post holder has the overall responsibility for the general day to day operations & functions of the organisation including the delivery of care and support to our service users and the performance of the office and support staff team employed to deliver such services.

Main aims of the Post:



The postholder will be responsible for the delivery of the strategic goals of the organization and success in the role will be measured largely by the achievement of the key performance indicators as outlined in Appendix A.

It will be incumbent upon the post holder in pursuit of the main aims of the post to maintain and drive forward delivery of quality in every area, maintaining discipline and efficiency in all of the organization's operations.

The post holder's actions should always be in observance of the direction of CQC and the relevant Health & Safety and other relevant legislation to the prevailing legal standards. Ensuring full compliance is the minimum requirement and the organization should strive to reflect best practice and excellence throughout all service delivery.

The post holder's immediate reports will be the Registered Managers and Office Manager. In turn their respective areas of responsibility will cover the entire organization.

The Post Holder will be required to ensure the smooth running of a robust emergency on call system for the organisation.

The post holder will ensure that the induction and development of staff through training meets the requirements of their respective roles throughout their employment.

The principle responsibilities may be summarised as follows:



Direct Management and mentoring to the Registered Managers and Office Manager.

Demonstrating and engendering a pervasive culture and value system which includes good communication, teamworking and taking responsibility for duties/tasks.

Achieving the KPIs as outlined in Appendix A

Oversee the process of securing suitable referrals and conversion into new service users as well arranging smooth transitions for outgoing service users.

Promoting sensitivity and respect for cultural diversity

Excellent interpersonal skills - including observation, listening and empathy, sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.

Ensuring that the organisation is promoted positively, and opportunities are sought and secured in the advancement of the organisation in-keeping with the organisation's strategic goals.

Excellent time management skills with ability to work in a pressurised environment

To be able to understand the roles of other professionals and principles of partnership.

To implement Positive Behavioural Support.

Instituting and maintaining processes and procedures conducive to reflecting an efficient service and the other principles and responsibilities outlined herein.

Key results and specific duties



To effectively manage and supervise the staff team in accordance with Adolphus Care's policies and procedures.

Responsible for dealing with complaints and other communication and consultation with families, service users, professional bodies, local authorities and other external agencies where the relevant Registered Manager requires support.

To chair management meetings and to regularly monitor quality in-service training and professional development opportunities for the team.

To ensure the appropriate recording of all meetings minutes are made and actions agreed/directed from the same are undertaken.

Lead the strategic development and success of new services, clients and projects including the marketing of new services, projects.

To manage the office functions by effective liaison with the office staff.

Provide updated statistics and service reports to the Directors monthly.

To observe performance all safeguarding Health and Safety matters, risk assessments and building matters related to the service.

Supervise the management of the rotas

Operational Management



Arrange the collation of organisational data in agreement with Managers (time sheets, sickness/accident logs, quality assurance).

Responsible for assisting the Registered Managers or Office Manager with budgets observance.

Oversee the maintenance of each home environment where support is delivered is of a high standard (PAT testing, light bulbs, decor, and general repairs).

Keep the Directors and management team informed of accomplishments & ongoing issues, participate in achieving resolutions to identified issues.

Assist the Registered Managers to ensure that they can assess care plans, implements, coordinates, monitors and evaluates all plans with the goal of optimising the service user's well-being & health.

Personal Requirements (What are the key personal attributes required for this role?)



Essential:



NVQ Level 5 or equivalent

The management skills to lead,motivate and support staff

Understanding of Positive Behavioural Support and how to meet the needs of

service users with complex care.

To be able to understand the roles ofother professionals and principles of

partnership.

Full Driving Licence

Desirable:



. BILD qualification in Positive Behavioural Support

Previous management experience in Learning Disabilities.

Observance of budgets set out in financial reviews.

Securing of suitable referrals and conversion into new service users as well arranging smooth transitions for outgoing service users.
