Job Description

Overview



Support the operations management team to ensure efficient and accurate loading/unloading of vehicles and maintenance in accordance with company requirements. Supporting Stores ensuring stock levels are maintained. Supporting Dispatch ensure that all goods are wrapped, stored, labelled, checked and loaded correctly. Oversee maintenance of the fleet and site assets.

Accountabilities/Duties



Duplicates



Co-ordinate products and goods as detailed on production sheets before they are required, i.e. before the job plan date

Ensure all products are picked as per the production sheet for dispatch ready for supply or supply and install by the installation teams

Ensure all tooling required is ready for use, e.g. batteries charged for drills etc.

Ensure materials, product and equipment are inspected and are fit for purpose

Ensure base plates, caps and posts are picked and ready for installation

Liaise with the Operations and the Factory and ensure all works are carried out in a timely manner

Assist with loading/unloading when required.

Efficiently manage the site teams when they return to the yard, minimising overtime.

Ensure vehicles are parked in a logical and efficient order for the following shifts.

Stores



Keep stock controls in place at all times, placing orders where necessary with Finance Assistant/Administration Assistant

Ensure best prices are secured for all products/services required

Adhere to Health & Safety Procedures at all times and carry out ladder inspections in line with company procedures.

Regular liaison with Installation Operatives

Chase orders with suppliers

Receiving goods inwards, checking for any discrepancies/faults and reporting any non-compliances to Quality Manager

Ensure all goods received are correct for each order and label with corresponding job number

Load/unload delivery vehicles as and when required

Ensure all goods received notes are completed

Produce month end report on stock valuation to Managing Director

Produce consignment stock consolidation report to Factory Manager

All faults and mistakes to be logged using correct protocol measures

Ensure requisition forms are fully completed

Ensure Sage is updated with any stock adjustments following the completion of a requisition

Dispatch



Checking of goods before wrapping to ensure they match with the paperwork (checking for errors) checking of the quality (identify any damage)

Responsible for the Driver and loads going out correctly

Taking calls from the Driver and dealing with discrepancies

Producing CE labels

Spot checks of products wrapped prior to dispatch, checking for quality standards

Assist and support with wrapping when required

Labelling all products correctly

Checking labels prior to dispatch

Liaising with Stores to ensure the Dispatch area is fully stocked

Preparing all clips for outgoing jobs and consolidate the outgoing order

Supply only route planning, inclusive of zooming in on Google maps to check the road name. This is to ensure the customer has provided the right address

Checking the planner and notifying Operations of any potential issues

Checking that vehicle are loaded in the safe and correct manner

Ensure products are loaded in the correct order, to correlate with the deliveries

Fleet



Ensure the vehicles are maintained and all faults are logged and reported

Liaise with Operations to get vehicles booked into mechanics garage.

Carry out minor vehicle repairs within your ability.

Ensuring the vehicles are clean and tidy.

Ensure all PMI's, MOT's and LOLER's are in date.

Technical Skills / Qualification



Essential:

Full valid UK driving licence

Manual handling

Desirable:

Forklift licence

Previous stores experience

Previous experience of picking and packing

Knowledge Skills & Experience



IT literate

Ability to work under own initiative

Good communication skills

High level of attention to detail

Team player

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
