We're looking for an Operations Support Manager to play a central role in supporting the delivery of our parking operations across Barnet. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that focuses on driving operational excellence, improving performance, and helping our frontline teams succeed in creating safer, better-managed neighbourhoods.
As the Operations Support Manager, you'll be a key link between on-street operations, office functions, and contract management. You'll support the smooth running of enforcement, notice processing, compliance, and performance reporting, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and compliance. What You'll Be Doing
Supporting the Assistant Contract Manager to deliver a high-quality, compliant service
Leading, motivating and developing a team of Supervisors
Deputising for the Assistant Contract Manager when required
Ensuring KPIs, service levels and quality standards are consistently achieved
Managing staff performance, absence and employee relations
Monitoring budgets and controlling operational costs
Working closely with residents, local businesses, councillors and the Metropolitan Police
Helping create safer neighbourhoods and thriving local business districts
Ensuring health & safety and quality standards are met at all times
What We're Looking For
Recent management experience (Team Manager level or similar)
Experience managing supervisors or equivalent roles
Strong people-management and communication skills
Confident handling performance management and disciplinary processes
Proven experience monitoring KPIs and producing reports
Commercially aware and comfortable analysing data
Essential: Experience within parking or environmental enforcement
Good IT skills (MS Office)
Full, clean UK driving licence
