Role Purpose:
As an Internal Account Manager, you will be the main point of contact for a portfolio of large accounts. Your focus will be to build strong relationships, provide outstanding service, and support the growth of key accounts through proactive communication and efficient coordination with our internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the main contact for allocated large accounts, ensuring excellent customer experience and account retention.
Make proactive welcome calls to new contacts and accounts to introduce Slingsby's products and services.
Conduct daily quote chasing to maximise conversion rates and order values.
Build strong, long-term relationships with customers through regular contact and follow-up.
Work closely with back-office teams to support order entry, quotation building, and aftersales care.
Collaborate with the Business Development Manager (BDM) to identify field visit opportunities and actively promote BDM site visits to strengthen customer relationships.
Ensure accurate record-keeping of all customer interactions and opportunities in the CRM system.
Achieve daily call targets of 80 calls and maintain a minimum of 2 hours talk time per day.
Support the wider sales team in achieving business objectives and revenue targets.
Key Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in an internal sales or account management role, ideally managing large or key accounts.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills with a confident telephone manner.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
Team player with a collaborative approach to working with internal departments.
Proactive and self-motivated, with a results-driven mindset.
Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Key Performance Indicators:
Daily call target: 80 calls per day.
Daily talk time: Minimum 2 hours per day.
Quote conversion rate.
Portfolio Turnover.
