This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated Paediatric Occupational Therapist based across Ely, Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas to join a warm, supportive, independent therapy service offering high-quality care to children and families. Working within a modern, child-friendly clinic and community settings, you will help children develop essential daily living, sensory, and motor skills while working alongside a highly collaborative therapy team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing, flexible environment where clinical autonomy, teamwork, and meaningful client relationships are central to the service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a varied paediatric caseload of children aged 0-19 with a range of needs
Complete high-quality assessments across motor, sensory, and self-care development
Develop and deliver individual therapy plans tailored to each child's needs
Work across clinic, home, nursery, and school environments
Build strong relationships with families, offering guidance and ongoing support
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure joined-up care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation and therapy reports
Participate in supervision, CPD activities, and service development
Adapt therapy approaches based on clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice
Contribute to a positive, child-centred therapy environment
Requirements
Degree in Occupational Therapy (HCPC registered or eligible to register)
Experience working with children with physical, neurodevelopmental, or sensory needs
Newer graduates considered if passionate about paediatrics
Strong understanding of motor skills, self-care, and sensory integration
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence working in homes, clinics, nurseries, and schools
Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
Membership of RCOT (or willingness to join)
