Paint Technician

to join our expert Paint Shop team, where you'll help deliver outstanding results across metallic and composite substrates. If you're detail-driven, highly skilled, and ready for your next challenge, this is the opportunity for you.


The Role




As a Paint Technician, you'll play a key role in achieving premium-quality surface finishes. You will be hands-on with preparation and refinishing, working closely with senior technicians to meet exacting quality, cost, and timing targets. You'll also support process improvement initiatives and have the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to innovation in product finishing.

Key Responsibilities



Carry out high-quality paint processes, including preparation, application, and refinishing. Support the development and implementation of painting and refinishing methods. Operate and maintain all relevant painting equipment to ensure optimum performance. Assist in planning and estimating for upcoming projects. Ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the Paint Shop. Monitor quality levels and ensure issues are resolved promptly. Work safely and proactively within Health & Safety regulations. Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement. Develop technical skills and proficiency with internal business systems for stock and job management.

What You'll Need



Qualifications & Experience:



Recognised practical training in paint/panel preparation or fitting (e.g., C&G or equivalent). Hands-on experience in automotive paint operations--experience with luxury or high-performance vehicles preferred. Knowledge of surface prep, colour theory, and paint application techniques, including both metallic and composite surfaces. Familiarity with waterborne and solvent-based paint systems. Understanding of panel fit, gapping, and defect repair techniques is desirable. Basic IT proficiency (especially in Microsoft Office) is a plus.

A collaborative mindset and a readiness to learn and grow. Comfortable working under supervision but confident in setting and managing your own targets.
