Job Overview



The Sprayer is responsible for applying high-quality finishes to timber and wood-based products. This role plays a vital part in the production process, requiring attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to excellence. The Sprayer will work collaboratively with the production team to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining health and safety compliance in the workshop environment.

Responsibilities



Prepare wood surfaces for finishing, including sanding, priming, and masking as required. Ensure surfaces are clean, smooth, and ready for application of paints or lacquers. Accurately apply various finishes, including paints, stains, lacquers, and varnishes, using spray equipment or manual methods. Maintain and clean spray guns, pumps, and other spraying equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Conduct routine checks on equipment and report any faults to the Production Manager. Maintain high levels of quality standards at all times, ensuring quality control processes are followed. Monitor and maintain output to meet the company's standards and deadlines. Follow all health and safety regulations, including the safe use of chemicals and PPE. Adhere to the company's environmental policies, ensuring waste materials are disposed of responsibly. Attend weekly production meetings. Any other duties as required.

Key Requirements



Proven experience in spray painting, ideally within a wood-based manufacturing environment. Familiarity with various paints, stains, and lacquers used on wood. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work as part of a team to achieve objectives. Strong time management and organisational skills. Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques and processes.
Desirable:

Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably utilising wood-based products.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 15.00 per hour
