Job Summary

We are seeking a Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting and the ability to work with various tools and materials. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a range of projects. The Painter will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment while demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes as necessary. Apply paint, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Use power tools and hand tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Maintain an organised workspace and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored after use. Follow safety protocols to minimise risks associated with painting tasks. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Perform basic maths calculations for measuring areas and estimating paint quantities. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge when handling equipment or performing repairs as required.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar role within a warehouse or construction environment. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and painting equipment. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to painting tasks. Strong attention to detail and finishing techniques. Ability to assemble and fabricate materials as required for various projects. Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding equipment operations. A commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace. Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing project requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 12.51 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
