This part-time role is ideal for someone who combines a head for figures with a heart for service. You'll work closely with the
Parish Priest
, taking ownership of the parish's finances and ensuring accurate record-keeping in line with diocesan guidelines.
You'll bring your organisational flair, attention to detail, and IT skills to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes--making a quiet but essential contribution to parish life.
What you'll do:

Maintain accurate parish accounts using the Diocesan "OPAS" system
Reconcile bank statements monthly and manage credit card records
Prepare financial returns and assist with reports for the Parish Finance Committee
Administer Planned Giving and Gift Aid, liaising with parishioners when needed
Oversee online donations and update systems accordingly
Assist with training and support for parish finance procedures
Coordinate volunteers as required
What we're looking for:

Relevant bookkeeping/accounting experience (ideally with charity or parish work)
Strong IT skills, especially in Excel and Microsoft Office
Integrity, discretion, and the ability to work independently
A warm and professional manner with a willingness to support parish life
Commitment to the values and mission of the Diocese of Westminster
