This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Gatwick Airport team as a Parking Team Leader, supporting the Duty Manager and ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient running of our airport parking services.
About the Role
As a Parking Team Leader, you'll play a vital part in our daily operations - supervising valet drivers, maintaining safety and service standards and deputising for the Operations Co-Ordinator or Duty Manager when required.
With 46,000 parking spaces, multiple parking products and a large, dynamic team, this role is central to delivering an exceptional customer experience at one of Europe's busiest airports.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clear leadership and direction to the driver team, setting a professional example at all times.
Supervise valet drivers and ensure compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Health & Safety policies.
Ensure all vehicle movements are completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed timelines.
Conduct daily fleet checks and inspections -- including tyres, fluids, and general vehicle condition -- and record findings accurately.
Maintain high presentation standards of all company vehicles.
Ensure all drivers wear correct PPE and uphold company standards of appearance and behaviour.
Monitor and enforce adherence to speed limits, traffic laws and internal safety procedures.
Complete and process forms (e.g., flat tyre/flat battery) and communicate with the Coordinator to update shared records.
Carry out regular storage audits, identifying vehicles in non-runs or overhanging areas.
Oversee key management, ensuring all keys are scanned, tracked and accounted for.
Ensure accurate use of systems such as GoTrak, ParkIT, and GoPlan, maintaining full trip logs and correct vehicle allocations.
Report and escalate operational, staffing or safety issues to the Operations Co-Ordinator promptly.
Identify and report site issues (e.g., line markings, surface defects, perimeter security).
Support delivery of contract-specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and performance targets.
Be flexible to carry out any additional duties as required by management.
