Job Description

Hutcheon Mearns have been engaged to source a part time Accountant on a permanent basis. This role is being recruited on a 3 or 4-day-a-week basis with hours ranging from 20-30 hours per week. Our client is an engineering business providing a range of services across industries including oil & gas, food & drink and construction. This role is based in Insch and offers flexible working, career development and a competitive salary.

The Opportunity

Support the Commercial Director in steering financial insight Creating and updating cash flow forecasts to ensure healthy working capital Assisting the Commercial Director with budgets, reforecasts and performance tracking Generating timely and clear financial reports Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and controls Identify cost saving opportunities across the business through analytics Assist with the financial planning aspects of an ERP system implementation

Background and Experience

Previous experience in accounts, reporting, or forecasting roles essential Previous experience within system implementations Proficient in Excel and comfortable using accounting software like Xero or Sage Detail-oriented, well-organised, and proactive A strong communicator who can interpret numbers for non-financial colleagues Enjoys mentoring and supporting the development of team members Has the ability to work independently on set tasks
