Part-Time Accountant - Newport Caravans and Motorhomes

Location:

Newport, South Wales

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:30 am - 2:30 pm (flexible to suit business and individual needs)

Salary:

35,000 to 42,000 pro-rata per annum (negotiable dependent on experience)

About Us

Newport Caravans and Motorhomes is a well-established, family-run business founded in 2008. We specialise in leisure vehicles and operate large workshops, a bodyshop, and an accessory shop.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Part-Time Accountant to lead our Accounts Department. This is a hands-on role working alongside an AAT Level 3 qualified team member who is progressing to Level 4.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of VAT returns Production of monthly management accounts Cashflow management and business forecasting Payroll coordination with external provider Completion of government surveys Maintenance of asset register and posting nominal ledger journals Preparation of year-end audit file for external accountants Reconciliation of sales and purchase ledgers Debtor management

About You

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Previous experience in retail within a high-turnover environment Proficient in Sage Line 50; experience with integrated industry software advantageous Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
