Part-time Bookkeeper (22.5hrs per week) - Sheffield / hybrid - Permanent

We are looking for a

Part-Time Bookkeeper

to join our small finance operations team. This role is critical to the smooth running of our internal financial processes and will have a direct impact on the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of our financial information.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys detailed, process-driven work and wants flexibility in how and when they deliver their hours. You'll be trusted to work independently, maintain high standards, and support a growing professional services firm.

What will I be doing in this role?



Finance Operations & Transaction Processing



Process supplier invoices and staff expense claims accurately and promptly. Manage the finance inbox, ensuring queries are triaged, prioritised, and resolved. Administer the company's expenses account, including coding and posting expenses.

Accounts Payable



Verify invoice details, coding, and approvals.

Accounts Receivable



Raise client invoices in line with engagement terms. Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables.

Banking & Reconciliation



Complete bank reconciliations across all accounts on a weekly and monthly basis

Month-End Support



Assist with month-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.

Process & Continuous Improvement



Follow established finance processes diligently.

What skills and experience should I be able to demonstrate?



Working to formal deadlines and KPI's Practical business bookkeeping experience, ideally in a client facing role, performing a broad range of bookkeeping activities Solid understanding and demonstrable experience of Excel Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations. Comfortable using digital tools and cloud-based finance systems Advanced use of MS Office365 products (Teams, Sharepoint, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)

Full job spec on request. You must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis and be able to regularly travel to the Sheffield office each week as well as working remotely.
